Our collaboration with Direct Pojišťovna took off swiftly. We immediately found common ground, enabling us to develop a native mobile self-care insurance application in record time.

This app positions Direct Pojišťovna as the first company in the market where customers can manage all their insurance needs independently, directly from their smartphones.

Project Challenges and Objectives

Project Takeover

We took over the project from the original contractor in June 2021 and were faced with a huge challenge: developing a native application in three and a half months to catch up with the ongoing marketing activities.

Innovative Functionalities

We introduced functionalities into the app that were new to the market, for example, a ‘green card’ available off-line.

Agile Development and Team Collaboration

Thanks to a human approach, mutual open communication, and agile management, our dedicated Direct team was able to deliver a complete front-end in three and a half months. We were deploying many new functionaliies in a short timeframe. Despite the frequent updates, we maintained great app stability.

Provision of User Behavior Data

We cooperated with Etnetera Activate to provide the client with detailed data about user behaviour in the app. Based on the data insights, Direct can make informed decisions about provision of insurance services etc.

Results

We developed the app as part of a hybrid team of mobile developers from Etnetera and Direct. Thanks to the great team management, colaboration and communication, the team made it possible to go live with the app in September 2021 as was originally planned.

Subsequently, we are able to respond with similar speed to extraordinary events and implement further new functions in the application within days and hours.

With the app, users can access all insurance services online without the need to call anywhere. However, should anyone need help or emergency assistance, users can access customer service via livechat or simply call a contact phone number.
