Improved UX of the GPT App for Porsche
We helped Porsche improve adoption of the GPT pricing tool across European markets.


Project Overview
Porsche Holding Salzburg is Europe’s largest automotive retailer and distributor for Volkswagen Group brands, operating in more than 20 countries worldwide. The company hired us to help them improve their internal GPT application for generating price lists across European markets.
The project was conducted in two phases:
- In-depth interviews with users and non-users across multiple countries to uncover barriers, expectations, and current workarounds.
- Prototype testing to validate design improvements, compare workflows, and identify further UX enhancements before implementation.
The goal was to deliver practical recommendations that support higher adoption, reduce manual workload, and ensure a smooth pricing process across the Porsche dealership network.
Project Challenges and Objectives
Provided Solution
We combined qualitative research methods like interviews, think-aloud sessions, and interactive prototype testing to understand how the users create price lists, where they get stuck, and what improvements would be most impactful.
With this approach, we managed to:
- Compare experienced users with newcomers, and identify different mental models
- Analyse real workflows, and map the main usability issues that were slowing down daily work
- Redesign the prototype and test it with users in live sessions
Throughout the project, we worked in collaborative delivery workshops with Porsche’s product and business teams to interpret findings together and translate them into clear next steps. These sessions helped align expectations, prioritise features, and turn research insights into actionable UX improvements for future development.
Results
Our research gave Porsche a clear set of UX priorities, streamlined workflows, and practical guidance for improving the GPT pricing tool. The redesigned interface removes friction, improves clarity, and helps users complete the pricing process in fewer steps.
Easier navigation and a clearer pricing workflow
The redesign simplified navigation and made the pricing flow easier to follow for both new and experienced users. Teams can now compare car models more intuitively, understand pricing more quickly, and complete the final configuration in fewer steps.
More consistent and efficient daily work across teams
The updated interface brought more structure and consistency to how price lists are created and managed across markets. Unified price lists, clearer folder logic, and simplified actions like duplicating or updating content reduce manual effort and make the tool easier to use in daily operations.
Stronger adoption across the dealership network
With clearer workflows, simplified steps, and a more intuitive interface, the GPT pricing tool is now easier to adopt across teams. These UX improvements support faster onboarding for newcomers and help drive adoption of the GPT application across the Porsche dealership network.
