Android Developer for a Smart Banking App

Join the team behind a key digital channel – Smart Bank, one of the highest-rated banking apps on the market, praised by both users and industry experts. Smart Bank runs on iOS and Android, and thanks to a well-designed design system, developing it is a real pleasure.
Beyond the frontend, the team also owns the backend, built on a unified framework. On the BE side, we handle everything from business logic and logging to authorization and other core functionalities.

You’ll work in a full-stack team alongside a business analyst, IT analyst, backend developer, iOS and React developers, and of course QA specialists. Together, you’ll tackle a wide range of requirements – from technical and functional topics such as application security, performance, or campaign rollouts, to specific product areas like payment card or account management.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Developing new features and taking ownership of code quality – clarity, structure, and low defect rate
• Designing efficient solutions that meet analytical requirements and architectural standards
• End-to-end responsibility for your solutions – from initial design to production deployment
• Keeping up with platform trends and improvements, proposing enhancements, and helping bring them to life
• Maintaining technical documentation in line with the actual implementation

Experience you’ll bring

• At least 4 years of experience with Android application development
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java, using MVVM/MVI patterns and adhering to clean code / SOLID principles
• Practical experience with Coroutines, RxJava, Compose, Retrofit (knowledge of all is a plus)
• Advanced understanding of mobile application security

Nice to have

• Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum / Kanban)
• Passive English skills – sufficient for understanding presentations and reports, reading documentation, and writing technical notes
• Familiarity with the banking domain
